Badminton is the second most participated sport in the world. It has become increasingly popular in U.S. Since 2004 indoor badminton has flourished in the Thousand Oaks area with a steady increase of players in open badminton at Thousand Oaks Community Center. As a result open badminton has been extended to other centers with the strong support from Conejo Recreation & Park District (CRPD), Pleasant Valley Recreation & Park District (PVRPD), and Conejo Valley Unified School District (CVUSD).
