ANNOUNCEMENT: Museum Open At New Temporary Location The Museum is now holding exhibits and programs in its new storefront location at 89 S. California Street in downtown Ventura, corner of California and Santa Clara Streets. A member reception and public opening during Ventura’s Spring ArtWalk brought out crowds to celebrate the move. The nearby 100 East Main Street location is closed in anticipation of its planned 18,000 sq ft construction expansion.
The Ventura County Museum of History and Art is the most comprehensive resource for local history in the county. There are exhibitions, galleries, and an extensive research library with over thousand of books, newspaper clippings, photographs, maps and other historical materials.
The museum is open from 10 to 5, Tuesday through Sunday. General admission is $4, seniors and AAA member $3, $1 for children. (ADMISSION TO TEMPORARY LOCATION IS FREE)
